Welcome to FreightPicker.com

Version 1.6 for the new portal now available!

Welcome!

So, what the heck is this FreightPicker thing all about?

If you’re like me, you’ve spent a lot of hours looking for freight.  Hours that could be better spent doing something besides sitting in front of your computer.  Hours that you’re not able to sleep or drive.  Now, you can get a lot of those hours back, thanks to FreightPicker.

FreightPicker is software designed exclusively for Schneider IC Choice drivers.  Designed and written by an IC Choice driver just like you.  Simple, yet powerful, FreightPicker will help you spend more time going down the road, and less time looking for freight.  FreightPicker automates many of the steps that drivers need to do to find loads, and helps you find the most profitable freight. (If you're not currently leased to Schneider, you can go here: http://www.schneiderjobs.com/owner-operators/lease-programs/percentage-lease)

Let’s take a look at how FreightPicker works:

First, you need to log in to access the portal.  Instead of having to type in your ID and password, then navigate your way to the search page, FreightPicker, does it for you automatically. One click, and you’re logged in, and on the search screen ready to look for freight.

Another single click recalls your saved search.  No more constant re-typing of the same search information over and over.

Then, clicking a single button will automatically retrieve all of the loads that meet your search criteria.

Once your loads are retrieved, it’s easy to look at pages of freight – not just five loads at a time.  FreightPicker displays them in an easy to read, concise, color coded grid format.  Not only that, but FreightPicker automatically calculates your net profit for each load.  If you’ve done a city search, it even calculates in the costs for deadhead miles!.  No more having to get out your calculator and having to figure if it’s profitable to deadhead for a load or not.  This lets you search a much wider area for good paying freight. Plus, it’s fully customizable to set your costs for both loaded and deadhead miles.

For drivers who miss the old “At, On, and By” system for pickup and delivery times, FreightPicker has brought it back! No more having to wade through hard to read window times to try and figure out if it's an appointment or not.

You can sort the entire list with a single click on any of the column headings. You can also sort and select in ways that the portal won’t let you.

FreightPicker’s plot function will display all of your retrieved loads on a map.  Loads are displayed in different colors based on Net Revenue per Day.

These features alone make FreightPicker very cost effective -- But wait, there’s even more!

How many times have you looked at a nice profitable load, only to find out that it’s unassignable? With FreightPicker, you can “camp” on the load.  About every 15 seconds, FreightPicker checks to see if the load is assignable yet. When the load becomes assignable, you can either have it alert you, or even  automatically assign the load for you!  No more sitting around clicking on the refresh button, and hoping that it won’t take too long.  FreightPicker will also automatically save the load information for you, to make it easy to check against your settlement statement.

Looking for particular freight? With FreightPicker’s load watching function, you can be alerted when freight comes or goes for a given search.  FreightPicker will dynamically calculate the optimum refresh time and will check to see if there’s any activity on the search.  Whether it’s freight disappearing quickly, or new loads popping up, FreightPicker will let you see what's happening.

One of the toughest things about picking your own freight is finding a load home.  How often have you been somewhere looking for that load home, only to find that there’s nothing going anywhere near home?  With FreightPicker’s powerful sorting and selection functions, you can display all of the freight that’s going to the state you’re interested in.  This lets you look for a load to where the freight is that’ll take you home.

Finding it inconvenient moving from screen to screen in the portal? We've added a large “Back” button that will take you to the previous screen. No more scrolling around trying to find that little button on the page.
